This bouquet floral hack is one of my favorite ways to get more out of your decor for less!
Flowers are one of my favorite ways to incorporate beautiful colors and vibes into the rooms in my home.
Awhile ago, I had purchased a peony bouquet from Walmart and set it aside for a DIY Spring Wreath that I made in early spring.
- Spring Bouquet
I’d been wanting to create a hoop wreath for some time and this was the perfect opportunity to do that.
The nice thing about this bouquet is that I can pop the “heads” of the flowers off and place them back if I’d ever want it in the original form again.
I only used a few pieces for the bouquet, but it sure made a nice statement.
I was so excited to use the remainder of the flower stems for various bottles and jars I had collected over the years.
My plan for the spring mantel this year was to showcase these collectibles by adding gorgeous florals to them for a pop of color.
Decorating With Faux Florals – Mantel Style
2. Mantel Bottles.
There’s that wreath again. 😉 I ended up leaving it up here to tie in with the rest of this space.
I adore these pretty bottles and vases.
The blue is the perfect hue for spring and any season really, especially since you can add other things to them as your filler.
I loved layering the mirrors and art pieces, a nice contrast to the clusters of bottles on either end.
I added this blush faux fur blanket into the basket as well and love the way it compliments the other pink colors here.
It’s amazing how much I was able to stretch this bouquet to use it in these ways.
3. Coffee Table Centerpiece.
I love the combination of textures from this tray, that bottle and the flowers.
I did have to take a few of the stems out of my bottles on the mantel to fill this up more, but this centerpiece wasn’t going to be a main stay the way the mantel pieces were.
They look so real, you’d never know they were faux peonies.
When you’re an avid decorator, these “dupes” are your best friend because buying real flowers all the time could get quite expensive.
I love to bring real ones home sometimes, but for the most part I’m investing in faux florals that I can reuse again and again in different ways.
Other ways to arrange with faux florals:
- Window box
- Baskets
- Olive bucket
- Pitcher
- Garland
- Pots
The possibilities are endless!
These three ways were what I came up with this spring and I love the way it turned out.
