Today I’m sharing the paint I used for our beautiful front porch door makeover!
I remember my husband (still my boyfriend at the time) house hunting, saying something along the lines of: “I know you would like a nice kitchen, and a place to park your car.”
Yes, I absolutely would, and he checked those off the box when he purchased our home.
The house also came with a front door that had a barn red color.
The First Part of the Front Porch Door Makeover
I loved the color, but after a few years I was ready for a change. Something a little less “in-your-face,” if you will.
I had seen some beautiful front doors on Pinterest and Instagram, and I kept coming back to a pastel blue color.
It was subtle and sooo beautiful.
So I started researching various paint colors in this blue tone.
I learned that it was a Benjamin Moore brand – Whyte Blue to be exact.
I purchased a gallon and decided to go for it!
As you can see, I decided to tape up the triangular grooves and keep that feature on the door.
I also primed the door first since there had been a bright red color on there before.
After three coats of paint, I was done and so happy with the end result.
It’s amazing what one change can do to a space.

I’m in love with the way it turned out!
